Root Canals
If your tooth is infected or there's severe damage to the pulp, a root canal will be recommended. The most common cause for this infection are an untreated cavity or trauma. Dr. Desai can complete most Root Canals in one day. All of the diseased pulp in the tooth is removed, and the canal is cleaned out thoroughly.
The canals are filled with gutta percha, a flexible plastic material. A post will be placed , the tooth will be Buildup as well as preparing for a crown. Crowns are most common since after the decay is removed and the root canal procedure is completed the tooth becomes brittle after time. The crown is usually placed as soon as possible, within a month or less.
